“The directors have asked me to write to you after I had told them how well your two electricians, Scott and Dan had got on with the work at Collard Court.rnThe directors have asked me to write to you after I had told them how well your two electricians, Scott and Dan had got on with the work at Collard Court.rnScott and Dan were always considerate of our elderly residents, they were clean and tidy during the works, hard working and courteous at all times. Scott would make a point liasing with the warden Mary so that she was aware if one or both of the electricians would be working within the building.rnWe are all very pleased with the work undertaken, it was complete with the minimum of fuss, disruption and damage to decoration. Please thank Scott and Dan on our behalf; they are a credit to your company.” Read More

Everyone; children, staff, governors, parents and visitors are very impressed at the level of workmanship evident in the carpentry, glazing, ironwork, playground sheds, carpeting and security fittings that were completed during the Easter holidays. It is a wonder you project managed it to be completed during such a tight time frame.rnWe are so pleased with all aspects ofthe work your firm has completed, I have informed our architects that for our next Premises Development I would like your firm to build for the project. “Kirkman and Jourdain have undertaken several large building projects for our school in the last year. They came to us highly recommended and we were not disappointed! The quality of workmanship and professionalism has been outstanding. We have been particularly impressed with Phil Haywood, who from the outset and initial meeting took on board our needs and has been a pleasure to work with throughout each project. The friendliness of his staff and professional nature they conduct themselves around our school site has been outstanding. The quality of work provided has been outstanding and the timescale in which the work was completed was all within the expected timescale. Having builders and contractors on site always has the potential to be added pressure on a school. This has certainly not been the case working with Kirkman and Jourdain.” Read More

“We had another really successful Handover meeting at Balham DO on Friday. Again, I was asked to pass on feedback received from the DOM / CWU, CDM-C and Romec Maintenance regarding the design team and the contractor. The DOM (Enitan Williams) and Site CWU (Steve Murphy) said that they were really impressed with the Contractor (Kirkman and Jourdain). They said that day to day communication was second to none and the quality of workmanship was excellent. They said that they would recommend Kirkman’s to anyone and couldn’t thank them enough for the hard work they had put in throughout the programme. They also gave special thanks to the Site Foreman, Carlos Francisco, who was brilliant throughout and we all agreed an absolute credit to the company. The CDM-C (Barry Farge / RLB) said that Balham DO was exemplary from a Health and Safety perspective and the best site that he has been a part of on the programme. He used this site as an example to other sites when discussing at pre-start / progress meetings. Samba Koroma from Romec (Cleaning) said that from all the sites he has seen, the workmanship was excellent and the difference made on site was very impressive. Personally I would really struggle to find fault with Kirkman and Jourdain, they were excellent throughout barring one minor blip at the end of the job which could quite easily be put down to heightened tensions on site as a new revision was put into place on the Sorting Hall floor. Kirkman’s were. in my opinion, the best performing contractor I have worked with on this programme.” Read More

“We would like to say many thanks to the Kirkman and Jourdain team for getting this project done. It was a great collective effort! They replaced a double set of doors with a larger, automated entrance at the University of Hertfordshire, significantly improving accessibility and functionality. Despite challenges like misaligned external floors and a busy pedestrian path, the team delivered a safe, fully compliant walkway ahead of the new semester.” Read More
