The Project
Refurbishment of existing Pembroke Ward including:new suspended ceiling, fire safety works to walls, fire alarm, access control, emergency lightings, complete rewire, new flooring, new fire doors/frames, works related to fire stopping and fire strategy decoration, white rock PVC wall cladding.

The Problems We Faced
The main problem was the ward needed to be handed over by 24th December 2024 unfortunately with the amount of additional work required to bring the ward up to standard it became an unrealistic timescale.

How We Solved The Problems
After consultation with the Estates Department and ward staff a solution was agreed and a phased handover was initiated.Approximately 70% of the ward was handed over as a fully functioning ward on the 24th December 2024. The remaining area was partitioned off for safety so the final building works in this area could be completed. This required new site access routes, splitting services and close liaison with the ward to ensure no disruption. Phase 2 was handed over on the 30th January 2025 on time and on budge
