The Problems We Faced
Within St Thomas Hospital Kings have embedded
spaces, but majority of the infrastructure and plant
are under the control of GSTT [Guys and St Thomas
Trust] and are very old and although maintained were
installed many years ago with the introduction of
more equipment they are very close to maximum
capacity.
Maintaining services while safely carrying out the
project works

How We Solved The Problems
By using established M&E teams that work closely with GSTT on all their buildings we have found not only their knowledge of the systems throughout the areas we are working and their relationships with the in house facility teams ensure works can carried out to ensure little to no disturbance to the surrounding facilities.

How We Solved The Problems
And again by using these teams which we have built up good teams not only with them and GSTT but with the various managers who look after the department within the hospitals, this is also very helpful when we need to carry out validations which may affect department surrounding the areas we are working in as we can get agreement on time slots quickly at times that suit all parties.
