Over the last few years, Kirkman and Jourdain has taken numerous actions to reduce our energy consumption through targeted investment actions, employee engagement and optimising processes and controls.
Environmental operations controls and programmes are in place as part of our integrated environmental management system to monitor, measure and reduce the impact of operations on the environment.

Many of the environmental programmes yield a reduction in direct or indirect energy use through effective resource management, such as the office consumables recycling initiatives, site material recovery and re-use and waste segregation for recycling or recovery.

How We Can Help
We have produced a detailed document which highlights the company’s objectives and targets for ISO 14001 which includes some specific actions taken to reduce carbon emissions. This is updated several times a year and is available upon request.
We are working towards the 2050 government targets in which progress is reviewed regularly, and an annual report is submitted.

It is our policy that our operations, products and services accomplish their functions in a manner that demonstrates responsibility for protection of the environment.
Kirkman & Jourdain is ISO-14001:2015 Certified and Registered Waste Carrier (Environmental Agency). We follow Waste & Resources Action Programmes (WRAP) target waste recycling as opposed to landfill as a key priority, transparently monitored/reported on.
